About Legacy CPA

If you’ve worked with accountants in the past and have been frustrated, we’re pretty sure that working with Legacy CPA will feel like a breath of fresh air. Like most CPAs we help our clients with their business & personal accounting needs, but here’s how we are different:

We Care—We’re not just here to punch in some numbers in at tax time. We want to sit down with you, talk about your goals, and come up with a plan that will help you achieve them.

We are here when you need us—We get back to you right away—most of the time with a same day response. We won’t leave you hanging.

We are proactive about solutions—You don’t have to wait until your back is against the wall, we want to help you catch issues before they become a big problem. Did we mention we care?

For PAS Clients:

Legacy CPA purchased PAS Tax Service from Bill Harmer in January 2021. We look forward to working with PAS’s clients and upholding the high standards Bill set.

What would make someone pick up and relocate 2,498 miles across the country to a place they have never lived and had only visited?  That answer’s simple…  BASS FISHING!!!

Since 2007, it had been a dream of mine to relocate from Oregon to Tennessee, but the timing just never seemed to be on God’s timeline. So after 13 years of being patient and not giving up, it finally happened.  I was able to purchase a well established CPA firm with an excellent reputation, and the dream was fulfilled.  My wife told me I should probably elaborate a little more on the “WHY” for wanting to relocate besides just fishing.  I agreed with her, so the other reasons were I wanted to live somewhere with unparalleled faith in God, hospitality, and moral conviction…But again, did I did mention the BASS FISHING?

Now onto the boring stuff.  Currently, I own Legacy CPA in Medford, Oregon, and have since 2012, and before that, I worked as a staff accountant both in the private sector and at another accounting firm. My experience is in both individual and business tax services, business consulting, and financial consulting, with an emphasis on personal and business budgeting.

My passion (on top of bass fishing) is working with clients on their personal and business finances and creating a monthly cash flow plan that is effective, efficient, and sustainable. I believe anyone, from the financially distressed to those who are financially fortunate, can benefit from these services. Helping a business owner realize how to be more profitable and keep more of that hard-earned money is an aptitude I have come to love doing.  In fact, I think it’s such an essential part of business and life, I made it a point to become as educated on the topic as I could.  For example, attending Dave Ramsey’s week-long Financial Counselor Training on budgeting and cash flow management has allowed me to teach and better assist my clients so they can be on the path to financial freedom.

My credentials include holding Certified Public Accounting certificates from the State of Oregon and State of Tennessee, and I am a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants.

The most important things in life to me are God, my wonderful wife of over 20 years,  Cathleen, and my two beautiful daughters. I am an avid bass fisherman and cherish the week-long fishing trips my daughters still join me on. If the Chicago Cubs are playing, you can bet I will have the game on rooting for them every minute of the season! In Oregon, I was involved in community and professional events and was a founding board member of a Charter Middle School.

Legacy CPA in Medford is a proud sponsor of a local Bass fishing Pro Colby Pearson, and his Co-Angler Thad Vinson.

Legacy CPA’s motto is Stress Less… FISH MORE!!!
